Thomas Edison High School DoNotBully Campaign
DoNotHate held its DoNotBully Campaign at Thomas Edison Energysmart Charter School (TEECS) in Somerset, New Jersey from Nov 12 through Nov 16.
The weeklong event included the hanging of a school pledge signed by students with their hand prints, a symbol of putting a stop to bullying.
The week continued with a school assembly with a presentation and dance performance about bullying and its effects.
The Do Not Bully Campaign can be held at any school where, using our “turn-key” guidebook, any student leader can conduct an anti-bullying campaign in their own school. The campaign aims to bring awareness and provide a bully-free environment where students can focus on getting an education and developing themselves, far from the dreadful results of bullying.
Being fully student-run, DoNotBully gives students a platform to take responsibility to improve their own environment.
Students at TEECS came together to commit to work toward a bully-free school and world. We commend the students for taking their first steps in working toward a more welcoming school.
